WHAT IS JUST: TRANSCRIPTION?

JUST: Transcription is a service offered by JUST: Access Ltd that makes it easy and affordable for customers to convert speech-to-text. Using Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technology, customers can choose to use JUST: Transcription for a variety of business applications, including transcription of meetings and interviews, transcription of voice-based customer service calls and conduct (text based) content analysis on audio/video content.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUST: TRANSCRIPTION AND OTHER PROVIDERS?

JUST: Transcription is different because it offers customers a blend of both automatic transcription and human editing. It gives customers the ability to choose what level of service they want.

It is also secure. Your trust, privacy, and the security of your content are our highest priority, and we implement appropriate and sophisticated technical and physical controls, including encryption at rest and in transit, designed to prevent unauthorised access to, or disclosure of, your content and ensure that our editors comply with our commitments to you.

HOW DO I START USING THE SERVICE?

WHAT KIND OF INPUTS DOES JUST: TRANSCRIPTION SUPPORT?

JUST: Transcription supports both 16 kHz and 8kHz audio streams, and multiple audio encodings.

DOES JUST: TRANSCRIPTION SUPPORT REAL-TIME TRANSCRIPTIONS?

WHAT LANGUAGES DOES JUST: TRANSCRIPTION SUPPORT?

English only.

WHAT DEVICES DOES JUST: TRANSCRIPTION WORK WITH?

JUST: Transcription for the most part is device agnostic.

In general, JUST: Transcription works with any device that includes an on-device microphone such as mobile phones, PCs, tablets, and IoT devices (e.g. car audio systems). Our Application will be able to detect the quality of the audio stream being input at the device (8kHz VS 16kHz) and will appropriately select the acoustic models for converting speech-to-text.

ARE THERE SIZE RESTRICTIONS ON THE AUDIO CONTENT THAT JUST: TRANSCRIPTION CAN PROCESS?

JUST: Transcription only allows audio files of 2 hours in length and 600MB in size. For reference, an .mp3 of 2hours is around 580MB.

I WANT TO SUBMIT A CUSTOM VOCABULARY. HOW CAN I DO THIS?

Security and Data Protection

WHAT SECURITY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE TO KEEP MY DATA SECURE?

  • We use Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) for secure communication across computer networks.

  • We use server-side encryption that protects your data at rest. Each object is encrypted with a unique key. As an additional safeguard, the key itself is encrypted with a master key that rotates regularly. Your data is encrypted using one of the strongest block ciphers available, 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256). 

  • Delete means delete. That is, when you select delete, the data associated with the file is removed from our storage facility. 

  • No data is shared with third parties for the purpose of improving AI/ML capabilities. JUST: Transcription does not allow third parties to store or use voice inputs processed by the service to provide and maintain the service or to improve and develop the quality of third-parties machine-learning/artificial-intelligence technologies. We have intentionally opted out of this feature.

  • JUST: Transcription platform is hosted on cloud servers hosted in UK data centres.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DELETE A TRANSCRIPT IN JUST: TRANSCRIPTION?

Delete means delete.

Once you delete the transcript within the JUST: Transcription Application it is deleted the voice input associated with it is deleted from storage.

DO I STILL OWN MY CONTENT THAT IS PROCESSED BY JUST: TRANSCRIPTION?

You always retain ownership of your content, and we will only use your content with your consent.

HOW IS AUTHENTICATION TO THE APPLICATION HANDLED?

We use single sign on based on Open ID Connect authentication protocol to handle authentication.

All data related to identity is hosted in UK.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE DATA THAT IS PROCESSED?

The end user only has access to data.

For Application/infrastructure support, only our service management team has access to the production system.

If "Fast Edit" and "Verbatim" services are used, then data must be released by the customer. Once this happens, it is then accessible to our editor team.

WHAT PLATFORMS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS?

Processing of data happens inside the Just: Transcription platform which is hosted in AWS cloud. As part of processing of data AWS DynamoDB and AWS S3 systems are involved.

Data never leaves AWS cloud boundary.

In case of specialised services like "Fast Edit" and "Verbatim" where our editor team is involved, data can be provided to us in multiple ways depending on the end user’s requirements (relating to data size and security requirements). Once our editors have the data, data is always kept encrypted on devices (data at rest) and any processing of data is limited to our JUST: Transcription Application.
